"The Day After Christmas"

There isn't much to say about today. I got stuff done, I disappointed, I asked for forgiveness, I cooked, I cleaned. And I relaxed. This is what my night looks like.

"The Day I Challenged Myself"

The year is almost over. How?! How did this happen!? This year has gone by soo quickly! I am so ready for this new year and to see what it brings with it.

Over the past two months or so, I have been working on being thankful for the things that God has blessed me with and...change. I have been trying to go through my life and find things - superficial things, material things...- that are pulling my focus away from things that truly matter, from doing things for the glory of Him, from making a difference in the world, in the life of others, in my own life.

Thanks to Nancy I have been inspired! I have been following her blog for a while now, and she is inspiring, beautiful! I'm not sure when she started, but as long as I have been following her, she has posted goals that she has set for herself each month - for a long time now, I have wanted to make monthly goals for myself, but for no reason I can say, I just haven't. However, something happened today, something changed. I don't know what it was - but I'm thankful that it has finally stuck.

In the next couple weeks as I reflect on this past year, I will be making my goals for January- and I can honestly say I am excited about it! I will share them with you each month and hope that maybe some of you can be inspired to do the same.

And because every post is better with a picture, I leave you with some sweet-smelling, adorable Christmas happiness. (Thank you again Nancy and Caroline! I can't wait for Branches & Light next month! - more on that later)

"The Day We Enjoyed"

I love Sundays!! Today after church we had some of our best friends over for lunch and a relaxing afternoon! Here was the day.

"The Day My Husband Ran a Marathon"

Bright and early we woke up and drive down to the lake for Hubby's big race! His very first marathon! He did soo awesome! I am soo proud of my runner! After the run we went to celebrate by grabbing some grub and these super cute drinks (I love when drinks come in mason jars!) to continue the celebration we got stuck in stop and go traffic for a good hour and a half! As soon as we got home my cute little athlete fell fast asleep watching his tv documentary about mythical monsters. Here is our day.

I had a fun play date today with miss Cailey Dawn and our sewing machines, I started working on a scarf! I'm excited to finish it! Here is what the day looked like!

"The Day I Went Shopping"

Waking up slowly is one of my favorite things, one thing that makes it so much better, is waking up to this precious face!

 

I enjoy shopping! Today on my trip out I picked up some glitter glue! (I am excited to use it and I will show you how when I do!) a new calendar, and a little organizer for Mia (my sewing machine), and groceries! Speaking of groceries, something that I have been doing when I get home is portioning out my food (like veggie chips) that way when I want some chips, I grab a portion instead of the whole bag! It's simple and quick!

I love technology, FaceTime specifically. I was able to have lunch with one of my best friends while she sat in our own homes across the country from each other. Thank you Lord, for making technology! Aside from spending the day on the phone- this is what the rest of my day looked like.

Little miss hubs and I went for a walk tonight. My little one does not do very well on her walks. She is just too interested in all the smells and sometimes she just has to sit down and take a break, but tonight she took the lead!

Tonight's dinner is a healthy chicken fried rice. Yes, I'm cooking. And I get to use these cuties to measure out my ingredients!
